At Caddie Shack Pest Control, we're well acquainted with the critters that would like to dig holes in your lawn, eat your flowers and vegetables and otherwise ruin your landscape on the Central Coast. Pest control can be a challenge in our area, and we take our work very seriously.

But our business didn't start out that way.

In fact, it all began on a hundred thousand dollar landscape renovation at Varian Ranch for Dean Bowden. During the installation, the gophers and ground squirrels were destroying our plants almost as fast as we could plant them. To solve the problem, Dean purchased a Rodenator (an explosive device) to eradicate the pests. After several loud explosions, we both decided there must be a better way to get rid of landscape pests.

In short, we gained experience quickly-some of it the hard way-and realized that we were fast becoming experts in Central Coast pest control. We discovered that our drive to find the best solution for the landscape, the critters and the budget was very valuable to clients, and Caddie Shack Pest Control was born.

Several years later, our business is no joking matter.

• We are one of the few San Luis Obispo pest control companies licensed by the California Department of Pesticide Regulation and the San Luis Obispo County Department of Agriculture to employ restricted-use pesticides.

• We were the first South County business to perform more humane, chemical-free pest control for burrowing critters with an innovative pressurized rodent control (PERC) system.

• We are insured up to one million dollars.

• We are an active member of the Arroyo Grande Chamber of Commerce.
